Rise: Return of Acclaimed Drama, 2012 Hollywood Fringe Fest Winner

Rise, which opened to great acclaim and a 2012 Hollywood Fringe Fest “Best New Play” award, is set to soar again in a revival from Zenith Ensemble. Called “feverishly intense” by LA Weekly, Cal Barnes’ thriller focuses on a passionate young pastor with a devoted and growing following, whose dark past comes back to haunt him in the form of a mystery woman with a hidden agenda. Brett Colbreth and Gowrie Hayden, both of whom starred in Pulp Shakespeare, reprise their original roles in Rise for this Elephant Stages production.
