The Gay Men’s Chorus of Los Angeles kicks off its 34th Season at the Alex Theatre with its annual holiday musical extravaganza. The powerful voices of the acclaimed 200-member chorus will be joined by rising stars from Creative Planet School of the Arts, a private academic and arts-oriented school for talented youngsters from kindergarten through 8th grade. The Holiday Spectacular features Santas, elves, nutcrackers and Rockettes, as well as such familiar holiday classics as “Joy to the World,” “Jingle All the Way,” “O Holy Night” and “Little Drummer Boy.” They’ll also give a fun, tongue-in-cheek twist to other audience favorites, including “I Wanna Be a Rockette,” “Parade of the Wooden Soldiers” and more.
