R&B and Soul Singer Chrisette Michele at the Key Club
Key Club (Los Angeles, CA)
After contributing her stellar vocals to tracks by hip-hop artists the Game, Nas, Jay-Z and others, singer-songwriter Chrisette Michele took center stage with her 2007 debut album I Am, and hasn’t looked back. The hit single from that disc, “Be OK,” won her a Grammy, and she followed that up with two more successful releases, Epiphany and the hip-hop-influenced Let Freedom Reign. Her fourth album Better is due out later this year and is said to be an homage to great jazz vocalists Ella Fitzgerald, Billie Holiday and Sarah Vaughan.
