American Cinematheque’s 8th Annual Focus on Female Directors Short Film Showcase

This short film showcase highlights a variety of works by contemporary female directors representing a range of viewpoints. The entries include works from cinema pioneers, Academy Award winners, actresses-turned-directors, industry heavyweights, music video directors, documentarians, animators and the brightest stars emerging from film schools and the international festival circuit. The 2013 program features pieces from actress Julie Delpy, award-winning documentarian Ondi Timoner (Dig!, We Live in Public), Emmy-winning writer Jill Soloway (United States of Tara), Academy Award-nominated animation duo Amanda Forbis & Wendy Tilby and more.
