A true renaissance woman, Carmen Lundy — renowned singer, songwriter, actress and painter — joins the Luckman Jazz Orchestra to honor another all-around great, virtuoso sax player Jimmy (“Little Bird”) Heath. Heath’s an NEA Jazz Master, long-time educator and composer, who’s played alongside legends including Dizzy Gillespie, Miles Davis, and Wynton Marsalis over the course of his more than 50-year career. His stellar sax work can also be heard on more than 100 albums. Lundy’s 12th solo CD release, Changes, made Jazz Inside magazine’s top albums list in 2012.
