The Agony and the Ecstasy of Steve Jobs at Theatre Asylum (Hollywood, CA)

One-Man Show The Agony and the Ecstasy of Steve Jobs

Theatre Asylum (Hollywood, CA)

A revolutionary monologue that examines the human price of high-tech gadgets, The Agony and the Ecstasy of Steve Jobs has played to capacity crowds and critical acclaim around the world. This Theatre Asylum production features Alex Lyras (The Common Air) performing Mike Daisey’s controversial first-person stories from the Foxconn factory in China where most of the world’s electronic gadgets are produced. In the wake of being featured on public radio’s This American Life in early 2012 (an episode which was later retracted), the contested material has been cut from the show, which now directly addresses the controversy in this revised production.
