Ray Cooney’s outrageous farce Run for Your Wife was a huge favorite on London’s West End, where it enjoyed a nine year run. Now Canyon Theatre Guild Playhouse is bringing the zany comedy across the pond for California audiences to enjoy the broad physical comedy and sassy adult humor for themselves. It’s the story of British cabby John Smith, who juggles two wives in two different areas of London. In order to maintain his double life, he has to keep a very precise schedule, which is thrown off-kilter when he is mugged and ends up in the hospital. When the police are supplied with two different addresses for the victim, Smith must try to keep himself out of trouble with both of his wives, an upstairs neighbor and the police.
