Fringe Favorite Complete Premieres on West Coast

Andrea Kuchlewska’s comedic play Complete is now receiving its West Coast premiere at the Matrix Theatre in West Hollywood. Before Tony Robbins, before The Secret, there was “The Training,” a seminar-based program that promised to change your life by changing your use of language. At age nine, Evie attended the seminars with her mother — but even as the program helped her mom escape an abusive marriage, “The Training” had a more complicated effect on little Evie. Years later, Evie — now Eve, an accomplished linguist — must again come to grips with the strange power of language when her boyfriend Micah attends a similar seminar. Complete was a hit at FringeNYC in 2009 and was later selected for the festival’s acclaimed Encore Series.
