Livan — the electro-goth rock band named after its eccentric and enigmatic Greek-born frontman — brings its legendarily loud and theatrical show to the El Rey, with an extended encore from Bauhaus vocalist Peter Murphy. Livan’s sly humor and post-punk aesthetic will be on full display at this album-release concert, celebrating their fourth disc, Beggars and Believers, and its first single “End of the World.” Livan actually toured with their special guest, “Godfather of Goth” Murphy, and blew crowds away when they opened for Alice Cooper.
