This introduction to the fundamentals of baking will start you on your way to preparing homestyle cakes from scratch using quality ingredients. The course will teach all the beginner basics from using your oven correctly to proper mixing techniques. STUDENTS WILL LEARN: -Basic principles of baking (measuring, sifting, baking times, mixing methods) -The functions of all main ingredients -How to personalize recipes by substituting ingredients STUDENTS WILL MAKE: -Sour Cream Streusel Cake -Red Velvet Cupcakes -Frosting -Caramel Upside-Down Cake
