It’s a simple idea where, once per month, a different great band will guest DJ. There will also be other people picking songs as well. It’s not as much about the DJ prowess as it is about the ultimate party playlist. Since it’s launch in December 2011, Songs has become a staple in the music lover’s nightlife, with each band bringing their own unique flavour for the evening. Previous guest bands-as-DJs include members of: The Smiths, Beirut, Broken Social Scene, Wavves, Fucked Up, The Rural Alberta Advantage, Tokyo Police Club, The Drums, Born Ruffians, The Wooden Sky, and a whole bunch of others.
