Directed by Maestro Victor Vener, the renowned California Philharmonic comes to the infield of the Santa Anita Race Track for the annual Festival on the Green. It’s a perfect way to spend a summer evening. Enjoy a picnic dinner while taking in the beautiful view of the San Gabriel Mountains set to a live jazz band. Then relax under the stars to the night’s eclectic musical program, a blend of classic rock and pop favorites, Broadway show tunes and classical pieces. The first night kicks off with special guests The Fab Four, the ultimate Beatles tribute band. Afterward, the Cal Phil brings the gorgeously layered harmonies of The Beach Boys to a full orchestra. Beethoven concludes the evening, with Symphony No. 6, Pastoral. The second night features the Cal Phil Chorale singing Broadway hits by composer Andrew Lloyd Webber as well as selections from classic operas by Puccini, such as La Bohème
