Greek Theatre (Los Angeles, CA)

The multi-platinum, GRAMMY-winning band Chicago will rock the Greek this summer. Second only to the Beach Boys as the most successful American rock band of all time, Chicago has been hitting the top 40 album charts for five decades. Hailed as one of the “most important bands in music since the dawn of the rock and roll era” by former President Bill Clinton, the band began as a politically charged and often experimental rock band and evolved into a softer sound with hit ballads like “If You Leave Me Now,” “Hard to Say I’m Sorry,” “You’re the Inspiration” and “Look Away.” With eight multi-platinum albums and 21 Top 10 singles plus 47 years of touring without missing a single concert date, Chicago is still going strong. The touring lineup includes co-founder Robert Lamm, the keyboardist and vocalist who wrote such Chicago hits as “Beginnings,” “Saturday in the Park” and “Dialogue.” Other co-founders still with Chicago’s nine-person lineup include trumpet player Lee Loughnane, trombone player James Pankow and Walter Parazaider, who plays sax, flute and woodwinds.
