Valley Performing Arts Center – Great Hall (Northridge, CA)

Two of the most acclaimed singer-songwriters of our generation share the stage for a powerhouse performance of cuts from their recent critically-acclaimed roots album, Old Yellow Moon. Twelve-time Grammy-winner Emmylou Harris has graced music fans with her evocative songwriting and beautifully expressive voice over the course of more than 25 studio albums — and Rodney Crowell was right there at the beginning, penning the first song on her solo debut and playing guitar in her back-up band. Crowell then became one of Nashville’s most accomplished songwriters and vocalists, scoring five straight No. 1 country singles in ’88 and ’89, including “I Couldn’t Leave You If I Tried,” “After All This Time” and others. Harris has had success over the years as an alt-rock, folk and country artist, teaming with artists like Linda Ronstadt, Dolly Parton, Mark Knopfler, Neil Young, Willie Nelson and many more, and was inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame in 2008. Since its early 2013 release, Old Yellow Moon has wowed critics and audiences alike, hitting the Top 5 on both the Billboard folk and country charts.
