Kirk Douglas Theatre (Culver City, CA)
After distancing herself from the place where she grew up by years and thousands of miles, Alice gets a call summoning her back to her hometown. Once there, the small-town streets and characters that used to define her come crushing in and threaten to never let her go again. Set in a small town in southwestern Idaho, and the vast spaces that surround it, this new play by Kimber Lee depicts the intersecting lives of townspeople as they deal with the web of love, tradition, religion, politics and heartbreak that connect them all. Director Neel Keller has created an unforgettable multi-ethnic community, with a central family three generations deep and complete with all the love, laughter, complications and difficult choices that anyone can relate to.
