Learn how to pickle your own fruits and vegetables, plant and compost your garden and become a more just consumer of food with this introductory course. Through hands-on workshops and engaging discussions with educators and businesspeople in the sustainable food field you’ll learn all the basics needed to join this growing movement. And you’ll also be paying it forward. For every jar of food that is pickled, another jar will be donated to recipients of emergency food relief. For every plant that is potted, one plant will also go to institutions that are working to improve access to healthy foods in food-insecure neighborhoods.
