Skirball Cultural Center (Los Angeles, CA)

"Noir-vember"

Comedian Beth Lapides and her band of UnCabaret comedians will celebrate life’s mysteries with Noir-vember. This hard-boiled comedy is just the thing for those who’ve had the nagging suspicion that something’s fishy. Ever feel like a private eye’s investigating your own life? Have you ever been double-crossed, or that you’re caught up in plots that don’t seem to add up? You don’t need to bone up on Double Indemnity or Raymond Chandler novels. Lapides gets to the bottom of it all with the help of fellow comedians the Sklar Brothers (ESPN’s Cheap Seats), Rebecca Corry (Last Comic Standing) and Stephen Kramer Glickman (Big Time Rush). This noir-ish comedy event is inspired by the Skirball’s exhibitions Light & Noir: Exiles and Émigrés, 1933-1950 and The Noir Effect.
