Barak Ballet’s Triple Bill 2015: Contemporary Dance
The Broad Stage at the Santa Monica College Performing Arts Center (Santa Monica, CA)
Founder and artistic director Melissa Barak brings her talented contemporary dance company to Santa Monica’s Broad Stage for a trio of intriguing works. An L.A. native, Barak danced for nine years with the New York City Ballet, and at age 21 became the youngest choreographer in that company’s history to be commissioned to create an original piece. This performance features her works Yueh Fei, with music by Huang Ruo, and Middle of Somewhere, scored by Ezio Bosso, as well as Nicolo Fonte’s Left Unsaid, set to Bach.
