Stand-up comic Ari Shaffir brings his edgy, uncensored, and frequently filthy comedy to the Comedy Store in Los Angeles. Known for his combination of incendiary crowd work, confrontational humor and social and political insight, Shaffir loves to create crazy characters like the Hipster Hasidic Jew and “The Amazing Racist.” The latter, created for a satirical National Lampoon video series, has attracted controversy, death threats and millions of Internet views. His most recent project was hosting his own Comedy Central mini-series, This Is Not Happening, where his comedian friends tell true stories around a given theme. Shaffir will headline this night of superstar comedy. Other performers include locals Brian Monarch, Maureen Conway and Guy Groves.
