2015 Los Angeles Women's Theatre Festival: "Solo, But Not Alone"

While your kids — and most of the world — are celebrating the wonderfulness of women in March, you can get in on the act with this batch of female-focused solo works from modern-day lady dynamites. They are women from across the globe, hear them roar during monologues, music, dance and more at the 22nd annual Los Angeles Women’s Theatre Festival, Solo, But Not Alone. Megan Dolan gives a humorous and sobering look at being a child of divorce, and Stacie Chaiken shows a young Jewish woman’s will to survive in wartime Warsaw. Solo, But Not Alone welcomes celebrity hosts like James Pickens Jr. (Grey’s Anatomy), and Hattie Winston (Becker) and Ted Lange (The Love Boat) emcee the opening night gala and awards ceremony, which also boasts a trio of performances — all at the Electric Lodge in Venice, where you’re just steps away from Abbot Kinney Blvd.
