Old Friends: One-Act Play Based on 40-Year Relationship
Monroe Forum Theatre at El Portal (North Hollywood, CA)

Like the song says, “You gotta have friends.” But when you lose one unexpectedly, especially a best pal of 40 years, the pain can be enough to turn you into a loner for life. In this one-act play by Bob Arnold, based on Richard Hulse’s book Forty Crazy Years, a man reeling from the unforeseen death of his longtime friend encounters him again in the burnt remnants of his home, but it’s a question as to whether their subsequent trip down memory lane ends up helping or hurting the healing process. Old Friends takes the stage at El Portal’s Monroe Forum Theatre in NoHo.
