Theatre 40 at the Reuben Cordova Theatre (Beverly Hills, CA)
Before The Twilight Zone launched him into the minds (and nightmares) of viewers around the globe, Rod Serling achieved his first major breakthrough with Patterns, a critically acclaimed episode of the 1950s anthology series Kraft Television Theatre. Now the big-business teledrama, which centers around the struggles of a young executive in resisting the corrosive pressures of a giant corporation, gets new life on the stage in this freshly penned adaptation at NYC’s Theatre 40 at the Reuben Cordova Theatre. In the play, the idealistic Fred Staples has been brought into Ramsey & Co. by its efficient, tough and predatory president, who’s grooming him for one of the company’s top spots. But Fred soon rebels when he learns that he’s been brought in to replace Andy Sloane, an aging employee who’s at the center of a cold-blooded campaign designed to force his resignation.
