"God Bless the Child"

An official selection of SXSW 2015, God Bless the Child is cinéma vérité at its finest. Set in Davis, California, five siblings aged one to 13 spend a day on their own, unsure if this time their depressed and unreliable mother is gone for good. The eldest and only girl, Harper, looks after her brothers as their day descends into fantasy and chaos. Filmmakers Robert Machoian and Rodrigo Ojeda-Beck will both be in attendance at The Regent Theater in Los Angeles, and attendees are invited to a post-screening reception with a DJ, full bar and Prufrock Pizza.
