Recently there have been several reports of distraction thefts targeting senior’s wallets and purses while shopping.

Most of these thefts are centered around Cedarbrae Mall in the grocery stores, (3495 Lawrence Ave E.)

The victim’s have usually placed their purses and wallets in their shopping carts.

The victim’s are approached by male person and while distracted by the male asking questions, a second suspect removes the purse and wallets from the victim’s cart.

In several cases the suspects have used or attempted to use the victim’s bank and credit cards shortly after the theft.

SUSPECT DISCRIPTIONS;

Female, around 35 years of age, "Olive" complexion, 5’4" to 5’5", Ethnicity, European, 119 lbs to 150 lbs. Hair, Black, shoulder length
