Southwest Division officers continue to investigate a stabbing incident that resulted in the injury of three males at a south side bar early Saturday morning.

The incident occurred around 1:30 a.m. Saturday, June 12, when an altercation occurred between two groups of males inside the Iron Horse Nightclub located on 104 Street and 81 Avenue.

One male received stab wounds resulting in several males being escorted out of the building. Once outside, one of the males allegedly stabbed two males from the second group and ran from the scene. It is believed that the two groups of males were known to each other prior to this evening.

Injuries received by the three males, each in their early 20s, are considered to be non-life threatening.

At the time of the occurrence two EPS officers were dealing with a separate incident outside of the bar. Two males ran past the officers but quickly surrendered after a brief foot chase. A knife was recovered and one of the males was charged.

Wayne Bae Tran, 24, has been charged with three counts of aggravated assault and one count of possession of an offensive weapon dangerous to the public.
