Dartmouth resident Kevin Nugent charged with child pornography

A man faces charges after a search today in Dartmouth by the HRP/RCMP Integrated Internet Child Exploitation (ICE) Unit.

Earlier today, ICE investigators conducted a search of a residence in the 0-100 block of Gourok Avenue in Dartmouth. Officers arrested a suspect without incident and seized computer equipment.

Fifty-year-old Kevin Nugent is scheduled to appear in Dartmouth Provincial Courton February 25 to face charges of possession of child pornography and accessing child pornography. He was released under conditions to not communicate with children under the age of 16, not possess a device able to access the internet and not be within 50 meters of a place frequented by children.

  1. I hope that he is not released to his home as there is an elementary school on this street. Even if he is not next to the school, there are certainly a lot of children walking to and from school here mornings, lunch and afternoons. This is very scary!
