Kenneth Harvey arrested for the death of 70 year old man in Hamilton

The Hamilton Police Service Collision Reconstruction Unit is investigating the City of Hamilton’s 21st traffic fatality and is asking witnesses to contact them.

On Tuesday, November 16th, 2010, at approximately 2:30 p.m., a Buick Century was going west on Wilson St. W. approaching Dunmark Rd. in Hamilton. The Buick was struck by a transport truck also going westerly. This collision sent the Buick across the roadway into the easterly lanes where the Buick was struck by a large van body, style truck. The Buick was T-boned by the large van resulting in the immediate death of the driver of the Buick, a 70 yr. old Brantford man. The driver of the cube van suffered minor injuries.

The transport truck that initially struck the Buick did not remain at the scene. A witness was able to obtain the licence plate of the vehicle. Hamilton Police continued to investigate and with the assistance of the O.P.P. the trailer portion of the transport truck was located. Further investigation resulted in the location of the truck and driver. The driver was arrested without incident.

Kenneth HARVEY is being held for a bail hearing on Wednesday, November 17th.
