Shahid and Natalie Portman voted sexiest vegans

Being a vegan can have its advantages, just recently actor Shahid Kapur has been voted the Sexiest Vegetarian in Asia, in the poll conducted by PETA. The poll was conducted by PETA in their Asia Pacific portal and the battle for the top slot carried on for a month. The final results were announced on 10 June, 2009. Shahid shares this honour with Hollywood star Natalie Portman, who was awarded the sexiest vegetarian in the USA region. “It feels great to be voted the Sexiest Vegetarian in Asia. I have always supported the cause of being a vegetarian and it’s nice to be felicitated for something so close to my heart. Being voted as sexy is a matter of perception but being vegetarian is a lifestyle change and something that comes from a sense of responsibility. This poll win also goes to break the myth that fitness cannot be achieved by eating vegetarian food,” said Kapur.
