Legendry Indian cricket and father of bollywood superstar Saif Ali Khan passed away yesterday after a long battle with lung infection.

According to the grapevine, Mansoor Ali Khan’s state got worse since Wednesday as he was not capable to keep up the oxygen level in spite of utmost treatment. Although he remained in the ICU and a close eye was being kept on him by some of the best doctors, Mansoor Ali Khan’s condition took a turn for the worse.

After the diagnosis, the ex Indian captain and cricketer was found to be suffering from interstitial lung disease, a state in which the channel of oxygen to the two lungs becomes less than normal.

Pataudi, regarded as one of the finest Indian cricket captains, played 46 Tests for India, scoring 2,793 runs at an average of 34.91 with a highest score of 203 unbeaten.
