NGO protests against ‘Hanikarak Bapu’ track from Aamir Khan’s Dangal

The Aamir Khan starrer Dangal is just a month away from release, but the film has already managed to generate tremendous hype, thanks to its track ‘Hanikarak Bapu that has been well received. However, the makers of the film seem to have landed in a spot of trouble due to this same track.

In fact the Vishwatmak Samajik Seva Trust have issued a statement stating that they will be holding a peaceful protest against the track ‘Hanikarak Bapu from the soon to release Aamir Khan starrer Dangal. This protest comes after the President of the trust Chandrashekhar Swami, sent out a plea to change/ drop the word ‘Bapu’ from the said track since it allegedly tarnishes the image of Mahatma Gandhi who is fondly referred to as Bapu across the nation. Apparently, the NGO had sent a request to Aamir Khan and the film’s producers to drop the word ‘Bapu’ from the track. However, since they have not received a response, they will be holding a peaceful protest rally for the same.

As for the film, Dangal that features Aamir Khan as a wrestler is directed by Nitesh Tiwari is slated to release on December 23.
