Megastar Amitabh Bachchan was recently seen in government’s video against the practice of open defecation which was launched as a part of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Swachh Bharat Abhiyaan.
In the video, Amitabh Bachchan was seen requesting people to join the movement. He was trying to spread awareness amongst villagers in India by letting them know how open defecation can lead to dangerous health risks. After seeing Amitabh Bachchan;’s work and contribution towards the movement, PM Modi shared an audio praising Amitabh Bachchan’s work by reciting a poem of his late father Harivansh Rai Bachchan. He captioned the audio, “A special message from Amitabh Bachchan on Swachh Bharat.” Modi tweeted.
Amitabh Bachchan showed his gratitude and thanked PM Modi for acknowledging his work. He wrote, “My most gracious and respectful thanks to the honourable Prime Minister Mananiya Shri Narendra Modi-ji, for acknowledging my small contribution.”
