Shah Rukh Khan is definitely kick starting his New Year celebrations early with a very prestigious honour. The actor, who has received several doctorates earlier, is all set to get another.

According to the reports, Shah Rukh Khan will be conferred  with the highest degree award at the Maulana Azad National Urdu University of Hyderabad. Shah Rukh Khan will be in Hyderabad on Monday to grace the ceremony and receive the honour.

President Pranab Mukherjee, who will be the chief guest at the ceremony, will be honoring the superstar with the doctorate. The ceremony will be held within the university campus situated in Gachibowli area of Hyderabad during the celebration of their sixth convocation.

As Shah Rukh Khan’s mom hails from Hyderabad, this doctorate means very special to him. It’s an extremely emotional and honouring moment to receive this highest degree of achievement for him.

On the work front, Shah Rukh Khan will be seen in Rahul Dholakia’s film Raees which is slated to release on January 25, 2017.
