Last year, Queen D created a furore and garnered accolades for her debut at the prestigious Cannes International Film Festival 2017. From being a quintessential outsider, Deepika’s wondrous journey from being a model to the reigning queen of Bollywood, she represented the cosmetic giant, L’Oreal. Kick-starting the Cannes 2017 leg, Deepika pulled off a sartorial storm with her international fashion stylist Elizabeth Saltzman and her team. A Cannes novice, one couldn’t help but marvel at Deepika’s aesthetical and keen sensibilities alongside stalwarts and L’Oréal Paris co-ambassadors Julianne Moore, Susan Sarandon and Elle Fanning. The 32-year-old actress had the shutterbugs going berserk with all her brilliant interpretation from a mixed bag of styles. Deepika has always treaded on tricky grounds, showcasing her fascination for solid hues and creating a signature style of sleek hair with centre-parting and subtle makeup. But for Cannes 2017, Deepika threw everyone a curveball with her quirky choices with a brilliant makeup to boot.
Playing muse to some of the maverick international designers, these divas also dabbled in showcasing the style sensibilities of Indian designers. A Mecca where two of the most inspiring arts intertwine for the world to stare at, like each year, let’s take a walk down the memory lane and revisit her Cannes 2017 vibes.
Deepika Padukone headed to the L’Oréal Paris Beach Studio at Cannes in a printed and ruffled Johanna Ortiz gown, Charlotte Olympia shoes with jewellery by Missika. She finished out the look with turquoise lined eyes, nude lips and soft wavy hair.
Deepika wore a Galvin London halter neck satin that accentuated her athletic and slim frame. A top knot, delicate baubles and pair of light coloured stilettos from Christian Louboutin were worthy additions. A stunning makeup of smokey eyes and nude lips rounded out the look.
For her red carpet appearance, Deepika wore a jewel-toned maroon creation by Marchesa Notte that was paired aptly with Jimmy Choo heels and De Grisogono jewellery. A bold makeup of accentuated eyes, deep red lips and textured waves along with a pair of statement earring that were her only accessories of choice.

Deepika sparked off a cheerful summery vibe wearing a Solace London mustard yellow pencil fit dress featuring high neck and dramatic sleeves. Delicate earrings from Eliza and Jam, nude makeup, a slightly messy high pony and snazzy stilettoes rounded out her look.
Ringing in another bright look, Deepika Padukone wore a fuchsia Balenciaga mini while swatching lipsticks from L’Oreal and being visibly fascinated by them all! With nude lips, delicately lined eyes and her long tresses tied in a care-free high pony, Deepika topped off the look with a pair of embellished stilettos from Christian Louboutin and delicate jewellery from Messika jewellery.

For her second red carpet appearance, Deepika made a risqué style choice by choosing a Brandon Maxwell gown that accentuated her figure well. The dark green colour coupled with the one-shoulder detail and thigh-high slit suited Deepika’s dusky complexion to T. Chloe Gosselin stilettos with jewellery by Degrisogono along with a makeup of brilliantly done turquoise eyes and a top bun rounded out the look.
Deepika Padukone is all set to be a trailblazer, with her second stint at Cannes 2018. We are quite piqued!
