Whether it is Suhana Khan or Ananya Pandey or Shanaya Kapoor, the internet is abuzz with reports about the debut of these star kids! While Ananya Pandey is already being introduced as the student in Student Of The Year 2 with Karan Johar as their mentor, the rumours of the other two star kids have no official announcements as yet. However, a recent statement made by father of Shanaya Kapoor, Sanjay Kapoor has given us a lot more clarity on Shanaya Kapoor and her acting debut!
Sanjay Kapoor in current reports revealed that his daughter Shanaya Kapoor didn’t opt for going abroad and studying but rather preferred to work on field. And she has taken her first step towards it with cousin Janhvi Kapoor’s film, Gunjan Saxena biopic. The film, which has been apparently titled Kargil Girl, will feature the Dhadak actress as the protagonist whereas Shanaya has been assisting the direction team in the film.
A proud father that Sanjay Kapoor is currently, he mentioned that he wanted his daughter to understand the hardships of being an actor and get hands-on experience before she becomes an actor. He also spoke about how she is shooting in the intense heat of 41 degrees in Lucknow currently but he also assured that he wants his little daughter to learn about all the hardships she will face as an actor in the future.
While he does agree that star kids do come with a fair amount of connections, he believes that their sustainability in the industry totally depends on them and their talent. He further added that besides assisting, Shanaya Kapoor is also undergoing extensive prep for her acting debut. Whether it is dance classes or acting workshops, she has been attending all these training sessions religiously and fulfilling the prep before she starts off a career in Bollywood.
At the same time, the Kapoor actor also asserted that neither he nor his family is in any hurry for Shanaya taking up her first film. He maintained that he wants his daughter to concentrate on the work she is doing in the Janhvi Kapoor film before she lands a good film. He also added that he wants her to work hard and understand how tough it is to survive in the industry while she is working with a film currently. In these reports, he also rubbished rumours about Karan Johar launching his daughter in a film soon.
But fingers crossed! The father is indeed expecting that Shanaya Kapoor gets her dream launch soon.
