Though most of the big stars are seen playing cops on screen these days, no one looks more dashing than Sanjay Dutt in the uniform. In fact, Dutt will soon be seen playing a cop in the Hindi remake of the Tamil film Saamy.
The film titled Thanedar Returns will feature Dutt playing a corrupt cop who later gives up his wayward mannerism to become a role model cop who stands up against corrupt individuals.
Produced by T. P. Agarwal, the film will also feature south actor Prakash Raj playing the quintessential villain along with Om Puri, who will feature in a pivotal role. The film goes on floor from August 20 and the makers are looking at having a 52-day schedule in Hyderabad where a special set is being erected.
The film will also mark director K. S. Ravikumar's Bollywood debut.
