A few months ago, actor Vivek Oberoi had made headlines for sharing a distasteful meme on social media about Aishwarya Rai and Salman Khan’s age-old affair. However, at a recent event in Mumbai, Vivek Oberoi and Abhishek Bachchan, husband of Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, hugged it out. The two came face to face at an event held to felicitate badminton star PV Sindhu on Sunday. The two actors not only greeted each other but also shared a warm hug.
At the event, Abhishek was accompanied by father Amitabh Bachchan, while Vivek Oberoi was accompanied by his wife and his parents. In the video, Abhishek is seen greeting Vivek’s father Suresh Oberoi with a hug. He also greeted Vivek’s mother Yashodhara Oberoi and his wife Priyanka Alva Oberoi. Abhishek is then seen greeting Vivek with a big smile and hugging him. After exchanging a few words, Abhishek and Vivek pat each other's backs, and Abhishek proceeds towards the exit. Amitabh Bachchan too greeted Vivek Oberoi with a hug.

In May this year, Vivek Oberoi had shared a meme drawing comparison between the Lok Sabha poll results and Aishwarya's personal life. The post did not go down well with netizens who shamed the actor for sharing such a meme. After receiving severe flak from all quarters, Vivek deleted the meme and apologised.
