Mumbai: Bollywood’s legendary star and the actor of big stardom whose fame does not limit him to India only rather takes him to every corner of the world, Amitabh Bachchan turns 70 on October 11^th. To celebrate the big man’s birthday in a giant style, a mammoth and lavish birthday bash was thrown in Mumbai at Film City in Guregaon where the who’s who of the entire film industry and the biggies of the country came to grace the occasion. More than 800 guests were invited at the party to eat a sit down dinner.

There are rumors making the rounds of the media that Shah Rukh Khan was not there at the party. To shut and silence the gossips, the sources present at the party say that he was very much there with his better half Gauri Khan. Even the tweets of King Khan emerge as a proof that he attended the bash with gusto and aplomb. He tweets that he loved dancing with Amit Ji and Jaya aunty on the songs he has grown up listening. He further says it was a big fun. Khan also thanks Abhishek, Aishwarya and their daughter Aaradhya for the warmth he received at the party.

The big wheels of the entertainment industry specially graced the party – the stars like Rajnikanth, Dilip Kumar, Rishi Kapoor, Sashi Kapoor, Yash Chopra, Waheeda Rehman and Sri Devi came in to wish the actor Happy Birthday.

With Shah Rukh Khan, Amitabh Bachchan has worked in few movies such as Mohabbatein, Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Gham and Kabhi Alvida Na Kehna. During these movies, the rapport between the two stars developed and the families turned friends as well. But the rivalry finally emerged between the two when Shah Rukh Khan grabbed the show ‘Kaun Banega Crorepati’ and it strengthened when Amitabh Bachchan was offered the front seat but Khan was not at the Zee Cine Awards years back.

Both have now turned friends again and share good rapport.
