Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor are one of the most loved couples of Bollywood and rumours about their impending marriage have been doing the rounds for quite some time. Recently, there were media reports which stated that Lara Dutta said that she believed that Alia and Ranbir are getting married this year. After the reports went viral, Lara shared a tweet saying that the media has been putting words in her mouth.
“As lovely a couple as both these actors make, I’m certainly no seer or soothsayer to predict any such thing! Media needs to stop putting words in our mouth and coming up with completely nonsensical news," she tweeted on Tuesday morning.

During a recent interview, while promoting Bellbottom, she was asked about the young couples of Bollywood. Lara said that since she is from the older generation she doesn’t know who is dating whom. But when specifically asked about Alia and Ranbir, she said she believes that they are getting married this year.
Alia and Ranbir first made a public appearance together in 2018 when they arrived together for Sonam Kapoor's wedding. The two will soon be seen together in Ayan Mukerji’s Brahmastra, which will be their first film together. On the other hand, Lara is gearing up for the release of Bellbottom which will be released in theatres on August 19.
