USA: Oye! Times readers Get FREE $30 to spend on Amazon, Walmart…The not so long ago released film Goliyon Ki Raasleela Ram -Leela, directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali featuring Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh was a smash hit at the box office. However, while most enjoyed the film, there were certain individuals who felt the content of the film hurt certain religious sentiments.
In view of this, a petition had been filed by advocate Sudhir Kumar Ojha in November last year against the makers of the film for the same. Yesterday, a local court issued arrest warrants against the film's director -producer Sanjay Leela Bhansali, actors Deepika Padukone, Priyanka Chopra and Ranveer Singh in connection with the petition that was filed. Besides this, warrants were also issued against another producer KishoreLulla, as well as the musicians and lyricists of the movie.
Issuing the arrest warrants, Chief Judicial Magistrate (CJM) SP Singh directed Mumbai Police Commissioner to arrest the persons concerned and produce them at his court on June 4.
