Celebrating new talents, this time around the legendary actor got yet another feather added to his cap, after a PhD scholarship was named after him at this film festival.

Also, Amitabh presented the first scholarship to a student named Roshan Kumar who graduated in Masters in International Business, from La Trobe University. While Kumar was thrilled to receive this honour from his icon, the Vice Chancellor of the University, John Dewar also was excited about having Big B at the Melbourne campus. Humbled by this gesture, Big B too took to his blog to write about it, "The La Trobe University names a scholarship after me, to be accorded to deserving students from all walks of life that will come and study media and entertainment courses here."
