And now reviving the association he has with one of the most renowned production houses of Bollywood that is UTV, now Disney India, Ashutosh has taken the studio on board for this film.

Ashutosh's wife and producer Sunita Gowariker stated since there has always been a bond that the filmmaker has with UTV, this time around too the production house will be co-producing it will AGPPL (Ashutosh Gowariker Productions Pvt Ltd). In fact, Sunita is happy that now they will enter international waters with UTV Disney.

Ashutosh Gowariker maintained that it took him three years to understand the civilization since little information was available about the same. However, he had revealed that Mohenjo-daro will be a love story and the characters in the film including Hrithik Roshan will be fictional but what will retain the authenticity of the film will be the period in which the movie is set.

While the film will see the very handsome Hrithik Roshan in a new avatar, speculations were on the rise that Ashutosh Gowariker will rope in an A-lister for the female lead, just like his previous film with the actor Jodhaa Akbar which starred Aishwarya Rai Bachchan. However, Ashutosh opted for newcomer Pooja Hegde since he believed that she will add the required freshness to this love story.

Prior to this, Ashutosh Gowariker has launched many newcomers in his films with big superstars like Gracy Singh (with Aamir Khan in Lagaan), Gayatri Joshi (with Shah Rukh Khan in Swades). So following a similar trend is Ashutosh who is all set to tell yet another story of an unknown era.

Also, Mohenjo-daro will once again see Ashutosh collaborating with musical genius A R Rahman who incidentally have composed music for all his previous films.
