I dont know how to get these 100 cr films where girls have nothing to do - Bipasha Basu

It would be a horror beginning for Bipasha Basu in 2015. Her Alone, which is directed by Bhushan Patel (1920 – Evil Returns, Ragini MMS 2) is all set to release and it is yet another film that Bipasha is carrying on her shoulders. Away from the rat race of 100 crore affairs, Bipasha is happy to pave her own way into the industry where she has been around for over a decade now.

Yet another year is coming to an end and 2015 begins with Alone, the promotion of which has kick-started. As someone who has acted in so many horror films, how does Alone stand out from the crowd?
I believe Alone pretty much pushes the envelope when it comes to bringing on a horror film in Bollywood. Also, for a horror flick in Bollywood, it is rudimentary that the music is quite good. I have to admit that the music of Alone is truly fantastic. Trust me when I say that it is on the lines of Jism, it is that good.

While you have had three women-centric films in a row with Aatma, Creature and now Alone, is there a quintessential 'masala' potboiler that you are aiming to be a part of?
Arrey haan, kyun nahi, even I want to live my life in peace. I too want to be in a situation where my hero will work, do all the action, spearhead the promotions and lead the interviews, while I will sit comfortably and have a 100 crore film to my name. That would be nice, right (laughs)?

You are not being serious!
(Smiles) Well, I have been offered multi-starrer masala films but none of these are like those 100 crores film where girls don't have anything to do. I just don't know how to get those films; guess I do not have that thought process (sighs).

How are you looking at taking your career forward?
I have never denied the fact that I am a greedy actor. I want some meaty stuff for myself and be a part of films that are entertaining. There is no point performing in a film which no one is going to watch. I am not looking for artistic pleasure here.
