USA: Oye! Times readers Get FREE $30 to spend on Amazon, Walmart…As the time of Sanjay Dutt's release from jail approaches, those close to him including his wife have spread the word that he'd soon be available again to work in films.
However, Mrs. Maanyata Dutt has apparently instructed Sanjay Dutt's marketing team to let it be known to producers that the post-incarcerated actor won't be available to play negative roles.
Hence the news that Dutt is opting out of Karan Johar's Shuddhi when in fact, he was never offered the role. A friend of the Dutt family reveals, "Sanju opting out of Shuddhi is the actor's family's way of letting the world know he won't do negative roles. His image building machinery won't allow him. Sanju was never offered Shuddhi."
As Sanjay prepares for post-release, positive roles are being whipped for the actor by 3 friendly directors Raj Kumar Hirani, Umesh Shukla and Sanjay Gupta who have scripts ready for Dutt.
However, a family friend who has known Sanjay Dutt closely warns against excessive enthusiasm regarding the actor's comeback. "He would first need to get back into psychological and physical shape. After his time in prison, Sanju can't just jump in front of the camera. My guess is he won't be back to acting before the end of 2016."
About the variety of roles awaiting Dutt, the friends warns, "Everyone will finally play the wait-and-watch game. Who will sign him first will depend on how quickly he re-conditions himself to civilian life. From what he told me I could gather he isn't too keen on facing the camera immediately after return. Sanju wants to spend time with his wife and children and with his sisters. Career is going to be secondary for some time."
