USA: Oye! Times readers Get FREE $30 to spend on Amazon, Walmart…During the past few days there has been much speculation and false confirmations of Sanjay Leela Bhansali's historical opus Bajirao Mastani moving ahead of its planned December 18 release.

The reasons given for this supposed hasty retreat were that the film was not likely to be ready for release on time, and also that the marketing team behind the project got freaked when they came to know that Shah Rukh Khan and Rohit Shetty's second collaborative concoction Dilwale was scheduled for December 18.

Both, as it happens, are fallacious assumptions.

According to a source close to Sanjay Bhansali, "The film is being shot on a war footing, pun intended. There are many never-before war scenes, dances and dramatic confrontations. But Sanjay is very much on schedule. In fact he didn't even know about Shah Rukh's plans or that there was talk of the film being postponed."

Confirming that Bajirao Mastani was being released on schedule a spokesperson from the film's co-producers Eros International said, "We are gearing up for a December 18, release and theatres are being blocked accordingly. The trailer will be coming out soon."
