Trinity Pictures, Eros International's recently launched motion pictures division that will focus on developing and building franchise movies, recently conducted a special workshop with veteran Bollywood writer, Sridhar Raghavan on June 22, 2015 at Hard Rock Cafe (Andheri), Mumbai.
In an initiative to build a writer's studio, the workshop included a special session by Sridhar Raghavan on the various nuances associated with script writing. Interested candidates had to mail their reviews and craft two original scenes for a few of Eros' releases namely, Raanjhanaa, Happy Ending or Badlapur, keeping in mind the plot and spirit of these films. Aspiring writers also got an opportunity to meet and interact with the team at Trinity Pictures and Eros for a deeper understanding of the goals and vision of the company. Also attending the session and interacting with the aspiring writers were leading directors and trade analysts like Sriram Raghavan, Sujoy Ghosh, Rohan Sippy, Saket Chowdhury, Vajir Singh (Box Office India), Komal Nahta (Film Information) and Moses Navgire (Bollywood Hungama).
On the basis of the submissions and interactions, shortlisted writers are been given an opportunity to be a part of Trinity Writers Room.
Launched in February 2015, Trinity Pictures is spearheaded by CEO, Ajit Thakur. The label will endeavor in investing intellectual property rights in-house and in creating quality franchises of lasting value. Trinity will be announcing its upcoming slate very soon.
