While the media and social networks went gaga talking about Aamir's remarks it seems certain wheels were set in motion at the Indian Tourism Ministry.

In fact we now hear that Aamir Khan, who has been the face of the Indian Tourism Ministry's campaign Incredible India, as their brand ambassador has since been removed. Though Aamir had clarified his statements saying, "Neither I, nor my wife Kiran, have any intention of leaving the country. We never did, and nor would we like to in the future", several politicians had criticized the actor for his comments which led to massive protests against him.

Tweeting about the same Amit Malviya, the ?National Head – Informational Technology and Digital Communication at Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) posted, "Aamir Khan removed as brand ambassador of Incredible #India." Though more details are unavailable, an official announcement is awaited.
