Times readers Get FREE $30 to spend on Amazon, Walmart…We all know Anuj Sachdeva, who has appeared in many popular soaps like Sabki Laadli Bebo, Phir Subah Hogi, Chhanchhan and Itti Si Khushi, will be seen playing the protagonist JD, in the forthcoming romantic comedy film – Love Shagun. However, not many know that, Anuj's point of reference to prepare for his role was none other than the veteran actor – Amol Palekar.
Interestingly, when JD's role was offered to Anuj, he was asked to refer to Amol Palekar's character from Basu Chatterjee's classic film Choti Si Baat. In the film, Palekar plays a simpleton and wears chequered shirts and pleated pants. He also has a tough time talking to women and ultimately when he meets the love of his life, he is not able to propose to her. Talking about the same Anuj says, "I watched the film around 3 times to get the act right. I wanted the mannerisms and body language to be exactly like Amol Palekar's." Interestingly during his growing up years Anuj was a huge fan of Amol Palekar and Kamal Haasan and idolized them.
As for the film Love Shagun that is directed by Saandesh Nayak is scheduled to release on February 26, 2016.
