Vidya Balan Tabu starrer Urumi to now re-release in Hindi as Ek Yoddha Shoorveer

Times readers Get FREE $30 to spend on Amazon, Walmart…Vidya Balan, Genelia D'Souza, Tabu, ace choreographer turned actor turned director Prabhu Dheva came together for a period saga titled Urumi, a 2011 Malayalam film directed by Kiran Kumar. Kiran who expressed his wish to re-release the film in Hindi as Ek Yoddha Shoorveer recently also approached the actors with the idea.

Kiran who has already started prepping for what he likes to call as the 'Bahubali style' release of the Hindi version also maintained that they will be dubbing and re-releasing the film across India since the actors have a huge fan following up North. The film which revolves primarily around Genelia and Malayalam superstar Prithviraj is set in the 16th Century and a revenge saga amidst the backdrop of Vasco Da Gama's journey to South India. Produced by Santosh Sivan, Urumi had Tabu in a special appearance along with Vidya Balan in an extended cameo.

As far as the Hindi version is concerned, Kiran recently showcased a seven minute promo to Vidya Balan who has given a nod to the same. Also, he has approached other actors who according to him have agreed to promote the film.
