Check out Aamir Khan kick starts water conservation drive in Amravati

Despite the controversy that surrounded his allegedly anti-national statement, Aamir Khan remains undeterred by the same. He continues to work towards his latest Satyamev Jayate campaign which was kick started as a solution to drought affected areas in Maharashtra. The superstar was recently seen visiting a region of Amravati, which is one of the biggest victims of draught.

Aamir Khan along with several superstars from the Marathi industry like Sai Tamanhkar, Reema Lagoo, Anil Bhatkal, and Anil Barwe among others visited the Wathoda village in the Amravati district. Interestingly, people had already started work on water conservation and this is what caught attention of this Satyamev Jayate Water Cup team. A part of their campaign focuses on providing training to over 120 villages to conserve water and the team decided to visit this place. Along with the help of the influential politicians from the vicinity, Aamir Khan along with other celebrities dug for over four hours for the initiative. Aamir also created awareness on the different ways of water conservation among the villagers.

Aamir Khan is the brand ambassador of Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis' Jal Yukta Shivar project. Other Bollywood celebrities who have extended their support to this campaign include Kangna Ranaut, Sunny Leone, Riteish Deshmukh, Rajkumar Hirani, Atul Kulkarni among others.
