Politician Kapil Sibal pens lyrics of Tere Bina in Shorgul

Veteran politician, Kapil Sibal is all set to make his foray into films as a lyricist with the upcoming film, Shorgul. For the first time the former union minister will be collaborating with Zitar maestro Niladri Kumar and singer Arijit Singh. The romantic number is called 'Tere Bina' and features Turkish supermodel Suha Gezen in an underwater sequence.

Fans will be elated to see Zitar maestro Niladri Kumar in his new avatar of a music director. He is known for giving us memorable tunes like 'Crazy Kiya Re', 'Chup Chup Ke Chori Pe' amongst others. Spanning 30 days, Niladri Kumar took up the challenge to train underprivileged children from Vasai. He along with Kapil Sibal identified kids who were musically talented and trained them giving them an opportunity to sing the chorus of 'Tere Bina' alongside Arijit Singh.

Commenting on the same, Kapil Sibal said, "'Tere Bina' has been one of my most exciting projects. Niladri Kumar has done absolute wonders with my lyrics with this song and after working on it for so long I am looking forward to its release. 'Tere Bina''s beauty lies in its simplicity and anyone who hears this track more than once will instantly have it on their lips and etched in their minds. Working with the underprivileged children and seeing their journey from training to finally in the studio has been very satisfying. Being part of their joy of being able to sing on a Track with the ever melodious Arijit, is a memory that will always remain very close to me. I hope 'Tere Bina' reaches and touches everyone".

Known to be a huge Niladri Kumar fan, Arijit Singh was eagerly waiting to work with him and the moment has finally arrived with Shorgul. The singer have even wavered his fee for this good cause. The makers have used the song Tere Bina to shed light on the social topic of, where does humanity stand.

As for the film Shorgul is a political drama, based on real life incidents that rocked the Nation with headlining news in the past. The Film is set on the backdrop of Uttar Pradesh bringing to light sensitive subjects that have occurred in our country. In addition, brings out some controversial political mind games of high profile dignitaries. The film is slated to release on June 24.
